Description

This Science Vocabulary TEKS product includes 10 Interactive Technology Based Vocabulary Reviews, 5 sets of digital vocabulary flashcards, PLUS the entire year SCIENCE review, which can be used throughout yearly instruction. The product is linked to highly engaging games that I created. The vocabulary is the most challenging of the science curriculum, especially the metric measurement and physical science.

Click here for a snippet of the first review.

I have taught science for twenty-five years, and the technology component reviews plus interactive vocabulary reviews were a game-changer. Kids came into class each morning, begging to play. Kids from other classrooms came into our room to play! They perceived science vocabulary review as playing, because of the gaming format.

Know that this is NOT a paper-pencil activity unless you print the small vocabulary flashcards. (Directions are included for printing larger online flashcards.) The kids will prefer the animated digital version, but you may opt to print cards for centers.

No child has ever failed the Science STAAR since reviewing via these games/quizzes. Over the years, I have refined the words, but the big difference for the kids was when I updated the graphics to include animations. My theory is that the animated GIFS made the information stick in their brains longer.

*DO NOT PURCHASE, IF YOU DO NOT HAVE INTERNET ACCESS*

You do not need to be in the computer lab, but kids need devices to play. If your school allows, their own personal devices are a great option, because they will continue to review the vocabulary at home. Trust me. They will.
