This is my first set of Science graphic organizers (more to come). You will find what I call “Define ‘Em, Sketch ‘Em” graphic organizers for many, if not all of the Science units you teach. With these organizers, the students define the vocabulary words for the unit and sketch an illustration to help them remember the definition of the word. This approach to vocabulary instruction is research based.
This file is EDITABLE!!! You can type the vocabulary words you wish to use for your unit. The document is in a zip file with two different files in Powerpoint to ensure compatibility. You will need POWERPOINT for this file if you plan to edit it. If you do not have Powerpoint, there is a PDF version of the file in the zip folder; however, you will not be able to edit this version. You would have to handwrite your vocabulary words in the graphic organizers before copying (or have your students do it).
In this file you will find the following:
How to Complete the Graphic Organizer
Graphic Organizers for the following units-24 total:

I hope that you find these organizers beneficial in your classroom.
