Every organism on Earth needs a place to live. Habitat destruction is the main threat to the world's wildlife and land-use decisions affect us all.
When introducing Habitats lesson plan, students are encouraged to develop land-use decisions in the best way possible. Planning groups will work out their priorities and defend them before the class. One possible outcome of Habitats lesson is that the students might see the need to "think globally and act locally."
