Science for Special Education- States of Matter!
States of Matter and Informational Text
Fun AND Effective way to study for science tests!!!
When studying for the physical states of matter - this is a great tool for you!
Students REQUEST activities like this from me and have actually encouraged me to put them on Teachers Pay Teachers after I have told them the many things I have purchased for them over the years. (I really do have fantastic students!)
The way the flashcards are designed, when printed, they can either be cut apart and folded over to be front and back study flashcards, or, if you print them on cardstock and cut them each apart separately, you can play "Memory" as a class, matching the term to the definition.
Because the Common Core Standards incorporate so much informational text across the curriculum, after the students have learned the terms, practice putting them into context! I have included some CLOZE type reading passages with word banks at the bottom of the page to practice reading comprehension. Put these pages either in plastic sleeves or laminate them with a glossy finish and you can use either wet erase or dry erase marker to fill in the blanks.
Print, fold and laminate and you have a valuable, yet quick and handy resource for years to come!
