If you like what you see, please consider following me on TpT!
This experiment packet provides students with an opportunity to explore buoyancy and density, as well as practice the scientific method, while playing with a simple banana. Science can be fun for the whole family! Simple Family Science Night Activities like this require no preparation from you the teacher other than printing this activity packet. Just print and send this home with your students. I use it as an extra credit project and reinforcement of the scientific method. This experiment is designed to involve the whole family and get parents and children communicating. This experiment allows students to practice writing a hypothesis, follow procedures, document observations, and analyze their results.
This product is a condensed version of the original Science in a Banana: Floaters & Sinkers Family Home Science Project. This is a good option for lower grades or for students needing some modifications/shortened assignments for better success (PAPER SAVER OPTION)
The full and condensed versions can be found BUNDLED in my TpT Store. The full version is designed for upper grades or for students in TAG/advanced programs
