I wrote this lab/activity to use Ward's finger maze set. The mazes may be purchased at Wardsci.com catelog # 470015-782 $20.75 for a set of 4. The accompanying pamphlet describes other ways to use the mazes, but they didn't seem user, nor student friendly. The lab/activity begins with video questions from a youtube video (my classroom has chrome books, but cell phones will work), and then I always require reading each part of a lab/activity and answering questions (If I don't the students don't read the instructions!)
The lab/activity requires two students, one is the coach and one is the blindfolded subject. The coach is able to give the subject verbal clues. I pair up my class of 28 and compare data from each group (average of multiple trials) on the smart board. I have left the conclusion and analysis short and require scientific method terminology. This is a word document, editable, so this can be changed for your classroom requirements.
