This product includes Cornell notes and a PowerPoint presentation on scientific investigation. Cornell notes: Five Cornell notes are provided on the unit rocks and minerals. There are two versions of the same Cornell: filled and fill-in-the-blank. A PowerPoint follows the Cornell notes and leads whole class, direct instruction. This product is part of my Scientific Investigation Unit Bundle- Science Interactive Notebook
-Cornell: The header includes the title of the notes, page, date, standards/benchmarks, and essential questions. A summary section is included where students answer essential questions provided on Cornell notes. A question section provides students the opportunity to practice higher level thinking by asking a question focusing on the “student notes” section. A “main idea drawing” section is made provided for students to add drawings as visual cues for the main ideas. Each criteria is worth one point making each Cornell worth five points. For easy grading, simply circle missing components or stamp to designate full credit. Students can study using their notes by covering up the “student notes” section and viewing the “main idea drawing” section. Have students read it, cover it up, and then say it again. This is a great tool to help guide students how to study. This product is not edible. After downloading, extract file in order to open.
