Bubble Gum in school?? Yes! It's science, after all!
This is a fun and easy way to allow students to practice the scientific method - by blowing bubbles!
Students who are just starting out with the scientific method can sometimes have trouble understanding how to best set up an experiment - with a clear variable that is being tested and all other factors controlled. This lab worksheet has already set up the format of the experiment for the students, while allowing them to practice writing structured hypotheses, measuring, recording and graphing data, and writing conclusions about what the data says. They will be blowing bubbles using two different brands of gum (your choice) and then comparing the diameter of the bubbles!
