Real scientists use posters to describe their work in progress to their peers. This project is designed for students to mimic that process in the classroom. Different project ideas are included and differentiated by ability. Students must formulate a focused problem question, hypothesis, procedure, data tables and graphs, and a conclusion. The project asks students to be able to identify independent, dependent, and controlled variables. In addition, they must identify the control and experimental groups. Project rubric is included as well as 10 differentiated project topics. Great for a formative or summative assessment for a scientific method unit.
