Teach students the scientific method with this fun bouncy ball experiment!
Begin by reviewing the steps of the scientific method with the students (included) and then have them experiment for themselves after asking the question: Will the height of a bouncy ball being dropped affect the height that ball bounces up?
Students will work on measuring, data collection, and hypothesizing according to patterns!
This is a class favorite for my fifth graders so I decided to share
Once students have completed the experiment, send them home with the additional attached document to fill out the scientific method that was used that day.
The assessment and answer key will prove to ask students to apply the scientific method in a conceptual form.
Enjoy and please leave feedback!
