Just Updated on 8/17/16! Looking for ways to improve procedure writing when teaching the scientific method principles in your classroom? Use this PB & No J demonstration activity to visually explain the expectations for good procedure writing in scientific inquiry projects.
This product prompts students to write procedures for how to make a peanut butter sandwich as a type of pre-assessment. Then students are led through two demonstrations - one with poor procedures and the other with good procedures. Class discussion will follow so students may determine what good procedures look like and then evaluate the procedures written at the beginning of the activity on a rubric. Student volunteers will help make this activity memorable and leave a lasting impression on students.
Included in this Package:
• Corresponding PowerPoint Presentation (33 slides)
• Student Handout (front & back) with Two Choices in Clipart (pdf)
→ Handout with Clipart Boy and PB Jar
