Need an activity for the scientific method? This one is AWESOME!
Explore the fundamentals of the scientific method, experimental design, independent variable, dependent variable, control variables, the relationship between variables, and experimental design.
Students arrange variables on their “shuffleboard” and, based on their arrangement, formulate a question to investigate the relationship between the independent and dependent variables. Designed to encourage students to think about different variables, how variables relate to one another, and what variables can be tested and to what end.
Scientific method extension: students plan and carry out their own investigations.
There is no fixed answer key with this product as students determine their own experimental design.
