More than a "definition-style" nature of science quiz - get kids THINKING!
10 Questions, 2 Versions, ANSWER KEY INCLUDED!
This quiz covers the steps of the Scientific Method (8 questions) and the variables of an experiment (2 questions). In Part One, students are given a word bank with the 5 steps of the Scientific Method. They are then given 8 real examples of those steps in action, and must match it to the correct phrase from the word bank. For instance, they must know that "Ben believes that if he feeds his fish less, then he will have to clean his fish tank less frequently" would serve as an example of "Form a Hypothesis". Or, "Luke plays music to one set of plants and grows another set of plants in silence. He measures their growth." serves as an example of "Experiment".
In Part Two, there are 2 multiple choice questions about independent and dependent variables. Students must identify each in a simple example of an experiment.
