I designed this unit to be a review and lesson for my 10th grade biology classes. Scientific Method, a topic that the students have been taught repeatedly since grade school, but yet still struggle with in high school.
This unit includes a pre-assessment quiz (5 question)- in which I score quickly into a range of 1, 2, or 3 (3 being most profficient, 2 being minor mistakes, 1 being shows difficulty).
After scoring up a class, I put students into groups based on readiness level and hand out the assignment sheets (included) by level.
Students through their assignment at level and turn in or present. I also have included a very simple scoring rubric for each of the levels of work and a Post-Assessment quiz.
