Directions – Part 1 and Part 2 will be completed at different times. Part 1 is to be completed prior to our discussion of the topic as an introduction to the material. Part 2 will be completed during and/or after class discussion, when students have a better understanding of the term and are able to elaborate on their initial definition in their own words
1. Part 1 – Complete the middle column by writing the GLOSSARY DEFINITION of each term. DO NOT SHORTEN OR REWORD THE GLOSSARY DEFINITION. DO NOT USE THE INTERNET. Write the definition EXACTLY as it is in the glossary.
2. Part 2 – Prior to the chapter test, complete the final column by elaborating on your definition or description of the term, REWRITING THE DEFINITION IN YOUR OWN WORDS, using your notes, worksheets, PowerPoint, etc.
To use this document for your students, simply delete the answers in column one and copy!
