This is a great manipulative to use as a preassessment, post assessment or just a quick review activity. I use this same activity in multiple ways:
1. Pre-assess to see what they remember about the scientific method.
2. As a game--who can match the fastest
3. Think-pair-share--One partner matches, the other cannot help but only check at the end. If they are unsure they will use resources to check their work.
4. Warm-up activity.
