Product Description

Would you like an academic way to support your students love of slime? With this product students will use the scientific method to experiment with making slime and complete vocabulary and writing activities to learn about states of matter, viscosity, polymers, shear stress and non-Newtonian fluids.

Get your kids excited to learn about the scientific method while getting dirty and making their own SLIME!

With this product you will be able to teach your students how to set up and conduct an investigation using the scientific method. First you will lead a whole group investigation, where everyone follows the same question and hypothesis. This gives you a chance to model good scientific thinking and quality questioning and work for each step. By providing this group activity you are giving students everything they will need to be successful when they work independently.

Then, you will release some of the responsibility to the kids as they plan and conduct a similar investigation, using what they learned from the group experiment.

This resource includes:

directions- including ideas for student led investigations

Alternative/additional experiment ideas

sample schedule for the activities
