PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This unit on the Scientific Method was written for students with moderate to severe disabilities.

Many of my students were nonverbal and unable to write but were still required to show mastery of the scientific method.

Many of the experiments go along with Bill Nye the Science Guy Season 5 Episode 7: Do-it-yourself Science. You do not need to show to complete the unit.

This unit is designed to introduce 8th graders on the Virginia Alternative Assessment Standard for Science. It does not include an assessment that would meet the standard below but serves as an introduction.
