Just my humble addition to the many great scientific notation foldables available. I used these to help my students review for a standardized test after having taught these concepts and procedures several weeks before. They are scaffolded to tailor to the specific difficulties that my students had. If you're interested in having an editable .docx template for any of these, just email me and I'd be happy to send it to you for free.
First foldable: how to convert numbers between scientific notation and standard notation.
Second foldable: Multiplying with scientific notation.
Third foldable: Dividing with scientific notation.
Sorry, these foldables don't deal with adding or subracting in scientific notation.
(1) Print double-sided.
(2) Dotted lines are for cutting; double-lines are for folding. Single solid lines are just lines.
(3) Greyed-out text is for color-coding. Students will need 2 different colors of markers: one color for coefficients and another color for exponents.
