Scientific Notation and Laws of Exponents Multiple Choice Assessment
Objective: Students are provided with standardized test-like questions to use as assessment, practice for standardized tests, or just repetitions. There are FIFTY total questions: 40 Scientific Notations and 10 Simplifying Exponents. The format is setout so that the first 30 questions are word problems, and could be used alone, or 31-40 could be added, or all 50 used together. Types of questions included are:
• Translate scientific notation to standard notation
• Translate standard notation to scientific notation
• Ordering and comparing numbers expressed in scientific notation
• Multiplying, dividing, adding and subtracting numbers in scientific notation (including word problems)
• Simplifying exponents
For your convenience, answer sheets are included for 1-30, 1-40, and 1-50.
