Students love moving around the room to work on math problems. Checking answers with QR Codes is an added bonus!
Hang each of the 8 scientific notation problems around your classroom. Problems have not been numbered to give you more flexibility in how/where you display them.
Students can solve the problems, then check their own answers. Half of the QR Codes have solutions written in “E notation” to give your students additional practice interpreting scientific notation generated by technology. (8.EE.A.4)
Two different recording worksheets have been included. The first one is blank, allowing teachers to decide the order of the problems. The second worksheet includes the problems. (This is great for absent students who need to make up the assignment.) Some teachers like to have students work on the problems at their seats, then move to check their answers using the QR Codes.
