Using annotation students will analyze complex informational text. Using the article "Science Process Skills" students will learn about the following: reasoning in science, questions and answers, supporting statements using evidence, the whole process- hypothesis, theory and law, logical reasoning, deductive reasoning and inductive reasoning. Students will end by writing an informative writing piece. Reading strategies are provided along with the article for student reading. A great way to connect the ELA CCSS.
