I love to have my kids play on game boards whenever possible using science/social studies unit trivia cards, their study guides, etc. It's a great way to review a lot of facts in a fun format. I usually have my kids answer a question BEFORE they are allowed to roll the die and move on the game board. You can decide whether you want them to go back to Start if they answer incorrectly or just miss that turn to roll. You can also decide whether or not they need an exact roll into the Finish space. Set aside at least 20-30 minutes for this and have the kids work in pairs. If you can print and laminate, then these will last forever! This is also great to send home laminated with playing pieces in gallon-sized Ziploc bags with a set of trivia cards if a specific child needs additional help mastering some facts - send the directions home in the bag and they can play with their family while learning their facts at the same time - math flash cards, science facts, letter/sounds, word study, spelling, etc. The options are endless and always fun while playing a game!
