An Inquiry lesson on How Scientists Work and Scientific Theories Change Over Time

Common Core: Claim, Evidence and Reasoning
This lesson follows the 5 E model of instruction and is designed for upper Elementary and middle school students. The materials required are just a 200 piece puzzle, 5 legal size envelopes and markers or crayons and the activity sheets for a classroom of approximately 20 to 25 students.
In addition to teaching the science benchmarks, this lesson also addresses the common core benchmarks of claim, evidence and reasoning.
The approximate amount of time required to complete this lesson is 1 to 2 hours more or less depending your students.
