What traits make a good scientist? Students find out in this fun lesson exploring the traits of famous scientists. This lesson includes 6 biographies of scientists from a variety of backgrounds written at grade levels 5-7. It includes a chart for students to use to analyze the traits (habits of mind) that each scientist demonstrated. It also includes a writing prompt and writing frame. This activity is great for getting students to think about what it takes to be a great scientist! It is appropriate for multiple grade levels from upper elementary to middle school. Teaching suggestions are also included in the file.
