These worksheets were designed for beginner scissor skills and practice. Scissors tips and adaptation considerations are provided for reference purposes. The pre-cutting lines have color-coded beginning and end point along with visuals to increase attention to the cutting lines. These visual are then transferred to basic shapes (circle, square and triangle); visuals for direction of cutting is given on the introductory page only.
The rest of the cutting worksheets have a page of shapes with thickened/highlighted cutting lines followed by a template to paste the shapes in order to form a picture. The shape pages have enough shapes to make two pictures or the extra shapes can be used as a back-up if more practice is needed. Once the shapes are glued on the template, I encourage students to draw/color more details onto the picture using markers or crayons.
