Scoot is an activity that gives students a chance to move around while reinforcing subject matter. This particular activity deals with the parts of speech. There are 28 cards, each having one sentence with an underlined word on it. One card is placed on each student desk. Students are to stand when teacher indicates it is time to move. Each student carries an answer sheet with him/her to write answers on. Students look at the underlined word and determine what part of speech it is. They mark their answer sheets and then wait for teacher to tell them to move to next station. Three different templates for student answer sheets are included in the file. An answer key for the teacher is also included. Four cards are on each page so they will need to be cut apart unless teacher chooses to have 4 at each station.
