This game includes 12 task cards and a recording sheet with large spaces for writing to play the game Scoot! These cards cover problem solving of multistep problems. They are either addition, subtraction, or both.
It looks cutest printed in color, but can be printed in grayscale as well.
Prep is easy - print one set of cards and cut, copy one recording sheet, for each student. WIll be more durable on card stock and/or laminated and you can keep for years to come!
Directions for Scoot!:
Place one task card on each student desk, in a circle on the floor, or around the perimeter of your room, in numerical order. Then, give each student a recording sheet.
Now, each student completes the card on their desk and writes their answer in the number on their recording sheet that corresponds to the number on the task card.
After about 45 seconds to a minute (or whenever they are all finished with that card), the teacher says "Scoot" and the students quickly
take their recording sheet with them, and scoot over to the next card and get started on the problem right away.
The game continues until all cards have been completed.
This product is SUPER versatile!! It can also be used in a center by putting the cards in a stack face down and drawing one card at a time. It can also be used as an exit ticket by giving each child one card to solve. They could be used as task cards by taping them up around the room and letting them solve at their own pace either individually or in pairs. It can also be used as a test review.
