Each week students take the Scott Foresman test, which is comprised of vocabulary, comprehension, and word analysis. I have my kids take it the first time on Pearson Success Net and record their scores and the questions they miss. Then I do reteaching groups. After reteaching, they get an opporunity to re-do the questions that they missed (I give them the hard copy for this). This is a way to re-teach students the concepts they haven't mastered and gives them an opportunity to show mastery. Then the students reflect on their results and set goals for ways to grow and improve based on their assessment data.
