You can use this Scrabble Board to practice any vocabulary or verb conjugation that you are teaching.
This game is not like traditional scrabble. You will want to set up a table in MS Word and create table cells that are about 1"X1". In those squares you need to put a picture of the vocabulary you are teaching or a subject/verb/tense for conjugation. Cut up the table and put the pieces in a sandwich bag or envelope. Divide the students into small groups and make one set of "cards"/pieces for each group.
Students take turns drawing one of the pieces from the bag and either writing the vocabulary word or conjugating the verb on the Scrabble grid. The goal is to fit your word on the board and write your letters on top of the most points possible. For example, if I spell out "regardons" and I write my letters on a square with 8 points, two with 5 points, and six with 1 point, I've earned 24 points.
You can play this game for 15 minutes or for 45 minutes. The student with the most points at the end is the winner.
