This "scrambled eggs" center is to be used as practice arranging sight words and easily decodable words into sentences that make sense.
Once printed off, I wrote a number on the back of each egg corresponding to the sentence it will be used to build. For organization in the classroom, I used easter eggs that were also labeled with the numbers 1-12 and placed each egg yolk inside it's matching egg. These can then be stored in a recycled egg carton for a cute, easy to store center.
To play, students pick an egg and write the number in the appropriate box on the worksheet. Then "crack the egg" to reveal the yolks inside. Kids can use the frying pan pages to arrange the eggs into a sentence. Once the sentence is put together, students should record the sentence on their worksheet and lastly, read it to an adult.
This center includes; eggs with words for 12 sentences, blank eggs to create your own sentences, a master "key" listing all sentences to check work, a worksheet, and "frying pans" to build each sentence.
