~ grammar ~ quotation marks ~ sentences ~ cooperative groups ~
This resource was created out of my need to engage students while learning how to use quotation marks correctly. I know it can get a little boring simply adding punctuations to workbook pages so I made this activity. I used it as a game. Students rotated to each table to unscramble each sentence. I gave each group a point for each one they were correct on. The team with the most points wins! Have a tie? Create your own sentence for them to unscramble as a tie-breaker. These could also be used in literacy centers or printed 4 to a page and students can work with them independently.
I also included a sheet that I used as a formative assessment along with an answer key.
