Children need a lot of practice with sentence structure. This weather themed scrambled sentences activity gives students the chance to make sentences by putting the words and punctuation in the correct order.
*Not only are the students working on sentence structure, but they are learning about weather too!
*These sentences are geared towards second graders, but your higher first graders and third graders could use these as well!
How this works:
I cut and laminate my word cards for durability, but you can also just print, cut the cards, and have the students start using them right away!
Students will unscramble the 6 sentences, and write the sentences on the recording sheet or in the book provided in this download. If students choose to write the sentences in the book, make sure they cut along the solid black line so the teacher can staple the book properly. The students will also illustrate the cover and each of the pages.
This also includes an answer key for your students to check their sentences! If you have a parent volunteer, they can also use the answer key as a guide.
Please let me know if you have any questions or comments!
