Scratchboards are always a fun and easy material to use with your students. In this project, students will be using colored scratchboard to make connections to patterns, repetition and art history (Gustav Klimt). In addition to practicing fine motor, visual thinking and critical thinking skills, displaying the completed projects is also a great way to add color to your classroom and showcase the creativity of your students.
In addition to the video, the lesson also includes downloadable lesson plans (early ed-middle school), extended learning opportunities, pattern examples, and reflection sheet.
