Fun, effective, and easy to use, with simple parts and no memorization, this script is great way to focus class attention on the skill of LISTENING to the teacher and to each other. NO PREP needed.

Useful at any time, this activity is especially helpful at the beginning of the school year to focus attention on listening. It is also useful when the students seem bored or unmotivated because it's so much fun.

The play, The Big Game, is the last in a set of 4 Audience Participation Plays.

All the plays contain short, GROUP parts for an entire class. After roles are assigned, the teacher reads the story, and the student groups provide the appropriate words at the correct times for their characters.

Descriptions for several other effective and enjoyable listening activities are included.

Contents of the Entire Set:

1. The First Day of School

2. A Backwards Fairy Tale

3. The State Fair

4. The Big Game
