Each year my class performs a play on stage complete with curtains, sound, and lighting. When I run into my former students, even years later, they always say, "Remember when we did the play?" I adapted this script from one of my favorite children's novels, "Frindle," by Andrew Clements.
This script can also be used for a Reader's Theater if you are not interested in using it as a full production. It includes a 22 page script, as well as a list of characters. The number of roles can be adjusted from the 25 speaking roles I required by combining or separating parts, or having students read two or three minor parts. Many roles are also gender neutral and can be adjusted depending on the number of boys and girls involved.
