The Scripture Scribes series is a fun, creative, and simple way to get your children/students in the Word every day.
Scripture Scribes: This is Our God Journal is a month-long journal focusing on God’s character as proclaimed in Psalms.
Each day, students write out the Scripture passage. This forces them to slow down, focus, and reflect on what they’re reading. By slowing down, students will better remember what they’ve read and will more likely contemplate the meaning.
Students then expand their time of reflection by following the creative prompt on the next page. Every prompt is unique and asks students to do something visual such as illustrate the verse, finish a doodle, or color a key phrase. Sometimes the thoughts and emotions evoked by our reading of Scripture cannot be adequately summed up in words – this gives students the opportunity to draw what they’re thinking and feeling.
