Description

This engaging, no-prep reading pack has been designed to meet ALL of the third grade reading standards as outlined under the Common Core. This pack follows a fun sea turtle theme.

This resource includes ten literature passages and ten informational passages, specifically written to address each Common Core standard. There are three copies of each passage to meet your differentiation needs - for a total of 60 passages. One is written at a second grade level, one at a third grade level, and one at a fourth grade level. The passages are marked with the letters A, B, and C, respectively. Grade level equivalents are available in the teacher guide.

Each passage has matching comprehension activities, including text dependent comprehension questions that are perfect for close reading. Many passages offer graphic organizers. Answer keys are included for each activity.

This pack also includes a Readers Theater script, a poem about sea turtles, an activity requiring students to read a map, and an activity requiring students to read a timeline.
