These worksheets have students identify text features in their reading and identify WHAT each text feature teaches them.
They analyze what information they learn from that text feature and put it together in a written prompt.
I have found that asking what it teaches you versus what it's job (function) is has helped my students be better at explaining the information versus telling you that a picture "shows you".
