    Description

    Looking for some low prep and fun activities for your students throughout the school year? Look no further!

    This bundle will has similar games and activities, which makes it easier to set up each week because the students will already know how to play. All of these games have special themes to make it fun and fresh each week or month. A black and white version are included for all of them. Worksheets are included for some.

    What's Included:

    • Back to School Literacy Centers

    -There are 8 games/activities with black and white versions included.

    -4 worksheets to go along with 4 of the activities

    -Hopping for Colors: a silly twist on Go Fish where students will be practicing reading their color words (recording sheet included)

    -Painting Missing Letters: an activity where students will fill in the missing letters on a painter's palette (2 different worksheets included to differentiate)

    -Book Buds Beginning Sound Matching: students will match the beginning sound to the picture (worksheet included)

    -Hauling Sight Words: students will match the sight words, this can be played like Go Fish as well. There are kindergarten and first grade words (worksheet included)

    -Sight Word Puzzles: students will put puzzles together to reveal a sight word and school supply picture. There are kindergarten and first grade words.

    -Lunch Time! Middle Sound Sort: students will look at the pictures and decide what the middle sound is. They will place the picture with the middle sound lunchbox.

    -Rhyming Sort: students will decide if the two iPads on the card rhyme or not.

    -Packing Up Ending Sounds: students will look at the picture and decide what the ending sound is. They will use a dry erase marker to circle the correct sound or a clothespin to clip the correct sound.

    • Apple Literacy Centers

    -8 games and activities with both color and black and white versions

    -4 worksheets to go along with 4 of the activities

    -Apple Cider Matching: Students will match a cider mug word to an apple picture. Great practice for reading short vowels.

    -Apple Stacking: Students will read words on apples and stack them on the animal's head with the same word family. Students will giggle!

    -Apples & Alpacas Old Maid: Students will practice reading sight words while playing this silly old maid game. Don't be the last one holding the "alpaca!" card!

    -Sneaky Apples & the Mixed Up Words: The sneaky apple brothers switched all the letters around in short vowel words! Students will need to spell the words the correct way.

    -Apple Picking: Students will practice short e words while trying to be the first to make it around the apple tree.

    -Real & Nonsense Sort: Students will practice short a words by reading the apples to see if they are real or nonsense.

    -Apple Pie & Milk Blends Matching: Students will read the blend and find the correct word family to make a word. This can be played memory style!

    -Apples & Worms Sight Words: Students will read the apple sight word cards and try to collect as many as they can. Watch out for those pesky worms! If students grab a worm card, then all their cards go back in the pile.

    • Fall Literacy Centers

    -8 games and activities with both color and black and white versions

    -4 worksheets to go along with 4 of the activities

    -Birds & Acorns Matching: Students will match the word on the bird with the picture on the acorn. Students will practice reading -ck word families.

    -Pumpkin Real & Nonsense Sort: Students will decide if the short o word is real or nonsense. They will sort them on a pocket chart or on the floor.

    -Roll, Build, and Read a Scarecrow: Students will work on those tricky sight words while building a scarecrow. Pre-K, K, and First grade words are included for differentiation.

    -Pumpkin Stacking Blends Matching: Students will put pumpkin pictures in the matching beginning blend wagon.

    -Pumpkin Spice Go Fish: Students will play go fish with these fun pumpkin spice cards with short vowel words.

    -Candy Corn-O!: Students will practice their short u words while trying to be the first to fill their candy corn boards to win at Candy Corn-O!

    -Raking Up True & False Blends: Students will practice reading words with beginning and ending blends and decide if the picture is true or false.

    -Candy Corn Ending Blends Matching: Students will make candy corns by matching the word with the picture and ending blend.

    -Polar Bear Matching: Students can play this like memory or like matching while they practice reading words with the –le ending.

    -Monster True & False Sort: Students will work on reading long vowels words with this monster themed true and false sort.

    -Roll, Build, & Read a Snow Globe: Students will continue to work on their fluency of long vowel words while building a cute snow globe.

    • Spring Literacy Centers

    -Chicks & Bunnies Go Fish: Students will practice reading a and e vowel team words while playing this fun go fish game.

    -ed Matching & Sort: Students will practice reading words with the ending “ed” at the end by matching the words to the pictures. Then, students will decide what type of sound the “ed” is making and sort the matches.

    -Hatching Contractions: Students will practice making and reading contractions by matching the chicks to the cracked shells.

    -Panda Old Maid: Students will work on their fluency of bossy r ir/er/ur words while playing a spring version of Old Maid.

    -Roll, Read, & Write Spring Sight Words: Students will practice reading and spelling their sight words on differentiated boards with fun spring themed dice. Also included are color word mats and a blank mat for students to customize their own boards.

    -Grow a Flower Sight Words: Students will continue to increase their sight word fluency by growing flowers and reading the words on each flower piece.

    -Peep War: Students will continue to reinforce the bossy r “ar” by building their fluency during this game. It is played just like the card game, War, except students need to read their words as they lay their cards!

    -Bunny-O!: Students will practice reading short vowel words with this fun twist on Uno. Two versions are included: CVC and blends.

    -Bunny-O!: Students will practice reading long vowel words with this fun twist on Uno. Two versions are included: long vowels with silent e and vowel teams.

    • Summer Literacy Centers

    -Sweet Compound Word Dominos: Students will practice reading compound words while playing this pineapple and watermelon themed dominos.

    -Synonym Flipflops Matching: Students will practice identifying synonyms during this matching and memory game.

    -Go Jellyfish!: Students will read words with the sh sound during this jellyfish themed go fish game. This can also be played like memory.

    -True & False Lemonade: Students will read each lemon card and decide if the word matches the picture on the card. They will sort the cards underneath the true and false cards. This is a perfect pocket chart activity. Students will practice words with y at the end.

    -Grilling Up oo Words: Students will match the hotdog words to the ketchup pictures. This can be played like matching or memory with cards flipped upside down. Next, students will sort the matches based on the sound that the oo is making in each match. This is another great pocket chart activity!

    -Popsicle Contractions: Students will create popsicles while matching the two words that make a contraction. This can be played like matching or memory with cards flipped upside down.

    -Roll, Read, & Write Summer Sight Words: Students will practice reading and spelling their sight words on differentiated boards with fun summer themed dice. Also included are color word mats and a blank mat for students to customize their own boards. Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade Dolch words are included.

    -Ride the Wave: Students will increase their reading fluency of sight words while racing across the game board to get to the sand. Watch out for those waves! Students will follow the waves to the new spot. Also included are surfing character counter pieces to use on the game board. Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade Dolch words are included.
