The first page of this activity should be done as a whole class. I frequently use hand motions and verbal chants to teach this material. As you model, teach, and act out the cloze activity, have the students fill in the blanks.
On the adjacent page in their Science notebooks, I have students complete a partner activity. Students use that page to explain using words and visuals what would happen if our Earth was tilted different. I draw an alternate tilt on the board (I usually draw the Earth on its side) and ask them to describe how the seasons will be different. I expect students to explain what has changed and how that change affects different areas of the Earth. I highly differentiate what is required for the writing response.
