PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Pick Four & One More (classroom management, seating arrangements)

Another teacher and I worked together to create this seating arrangement questionnaire. Prior to rearranging the classroom and having the students switch seats, pass out this questionnaire and have the students fill them out. The students are asked to choose 4 friends they'd like to sit with and then decide which one of those has been an 'exceptional classroom citizen.' (Of course, as the teacher you will always have the power of the veto.)

When used seriously, this questionnaire can help you see patterns of behavior in the classroom. Who is popular this week? Who is being left out? Are there any cliques forming that you need to take note of?

Even though it can be a nuisance to change seats each week, the best way to use this questionnaire is on Friday afternoons before dismissal. Although this question was created with elementary students in mind, it can also be used with middle school and high school students.
