19 Daily Practice Worksheets for Second Graders. Each worksheet includes: adding endings (-ed, -ing, -es, -ing), contractions, synonyms and antonyms, spelling common words, alphabetizing and choosing which guide words an entry word would fall between, prefixes and suffixes, and a column for dictation practice of vowel teams and consonant digraphs. Page 20 is a note telling you how I use these daily practices in my own classroom. These worksheets could be used as homework, as station work, or as bell ringers. They can supplement any program, as the skills are universal to 2nd graders. I taught 3rd grade last year, and can also recommend these for use in 3rd grade to review skills that are rusty or were missed during 2nd grade. The words used should help students prepare for the Texas TPRI as well.
