There are a total of 84 posters (8.5x11) and 84 sentence strips (4.25x11) displaying 2nd grade ELA common core standards in SPANISH, kid friendly language. The posters are broken down by 35 reading standard posters, 10 writing standard posters, 12 speaking and listening standard posters, and 27 language standards posters.
Reading Foundation and Language standards include linguistic modifications supportive of the Spanish language. For instance, RF.2.3 a Distinguish long and short vowels when reading regularly spelled one-syllable words the Spanish language reads, Distingue los sonidos de las vocales y de los diptongos al leer palabras de una sílaba de ortografía regular (dio, pie, bien). L.2.1.b Form and use frequently occurring irregular plural nouns (e.g. feet, children, teeth) to L.2.1.b Usan sustantivos comunes que forman el plural en forma irregular cambiando z por c o el acento escrito a ortográfico (ejemplo: luz-luces; lápiz-lápices; corazón-corazones; joven-jóvenes). Also, an additional three posters reference accent marks. RF.2.3 g Identifica la última, penúltima y antepenúltima sílaba en palabras multisilábicas y reconoce en cuál sílaba cae el acento tónico.
These visually appealing posters can be used alongside student work on bulletin boards, as part of the lesson objectives, and throughout your classroom. Regardless of how you decide to display them, they will come in handy you have visitors in your classroom, for you to refer to during instruction, or for your students see the learning targets during independent work.
The poster and sentence strip can be printed on 8.5x11 paper or you can opt to print multiple posters via the print settings. The bottom right corner includes the standard strand and number for you to keep organized. I recommend to print them on card stock paper and laminate for durability.
