Biggest Shifts:


• Science should be multi-dimensional (Previous science education has typically been 1-dimensional. It has mostly focused on the content.)
• Exploration is the key: Science should be more about thinking/doing, not just facts. (Direct instruction should be utilized; however, students should explore and start putting the pieces together themselves first. Then, direct instruction should be used to clear up any student misconceptions.)
