With the new school year approaching it is time to put a classroom discipline plan in place. This plan was created by me during the 2015-2016 school year and helped to get my classroom back on track. This comprehensive discipline plan has a standard 4-step process to cover classroom behaviors from not wanting to work to cell phones.
This is a great lesson for the first day or week of school and includes the following items:
-An overview of the discipline plan
-A 20-page Powerpoint presentation to explain the procedures to your class
-A signature page with an overview of the procedures for your students and their parents/guardians to sign and return to you stating that they understand the procedures
-Bathroom pass templates (as part of this plan students should be given a standard amount of passes for the semester. They can use these passes as needed, but when they run out they are out. Any unused passes can then be turned in at the end of the semester for extra credit. This is to reward students who use their passing periods properly.)
