-Not only is the parallel squat taught, but how to be an effective spotter for the parallel squat is also instructed and taught within this lesson. NO STUDENT IS STANDING AROUND!!! They are either squatting, spotting, or assessing!
-This lesson plan includes specific cues and feedback which is expected by the students and is given to the students. There is specific instructions and safety precautions stressed throughout the lesson and is very in depth and detailed because as we all know, weightlifting can be one of the most dangerous units we teach in physical education.
