Your children will be super excited to become “Secret Agent E” as they use their super sleuth skills to do the word work that is included in this unit! (I know mine were!) “Cracking Codes”, “Super Secret Short e Words”, Teeny Tiny Short e word finds are just some of the things found in this 300+ page, completely differentiated unit!
Here is the list of the activities included:

-“Write and Wipe” “Crack the Code” cards and response sheet
-Short E word cards (center activity) and response sheet
-Mixed-up short E word cards for center work and student response sheet
-Mixed up Sentences (using sight words and some of the short e words) and student response sheet

-Teeny Tiny Short E Word Finds (“I Spy” short a words, for children to use a hand lens/magnifying glass to spot, read, spell and write the words they find) and response sheet. I have included 3 varieties of cards: short e words (easy), short e words (challenge), mixed short vowel words (with a separate answer sheet that the children have to sort the words when they
write them down)
-“Thumbs Up, Thumbs Down” cards and answer sheet- listening for short e in words
-AND (drum roll!!!) 2 different sets of “Break the Code Super Secret Short E Words” activities! (One has them listening for beginning sounds, the other has them using the “hand signs/handmade alphabet” to break the code!) Directions for assembly are included, with an option for assembly that is less “cool”, but also cuts out much of the assembly time, in case you are rushed for time!
