During oral reading, the teacher may stop periodically to write down predictions of students as the story unfolds. After the story is complete, students can open their bags to reveal the secret object. Then, the students revisit the anticipation guide to complete the after section of the graphic organizer.
Lastly, students write a reflection of how the object was relevant to the story.
