Why not let the students in on the Secret Santa fun? This resource has all you need to do this activity in your classroom this holiday season. Christmas has never been so fun for them! But the best thing about this resource is it has a built in component about kindness and caring for others, which is even more important!
Included in this resource is:
~Kindness Looks, Sounds, Feels Like Anchor Chart: To help build the students' schema of kindness, chart parts to create this anchor chart are included. Printables to go along with it are provided.
~Ways to Show Kindness mini-book: Students will make a book and generate ideas of how they can be kind to different people in their lives.
~Kindness Anchor Chart: there are chart parts for an anchor chart about what kindness is and isn't (with the main focus on their friends). Correlated printables are included.
~Kindness Action Plan: What they can do today, tomorrow, and in the future to show kindness.
~Kindness Kids: Students are given situations in picture form that show kindness. Students write about what they see, why it's kind, and how it reflects on them.
~Acts of Kindness Free/Costs Anchor Chart: Students need to also focus on those things they can do for others that are free, since their income is limited. This anchor chart and printable will help them think about this and get them ready for the Secret Santa activity.
Secret Santa Materials:
~Secret Santa Assignment Cards: These are cards you'll write the students' names on and pass out so they know who their secret pal is. I've included an EDITABLE Powerpoint file if you'd like to type their names on the cards.
~Secret Santa Notes: There are a variety of student notes included for students to use to send to their pals. They are short sentence starters that students fill in and give to their secret buddy.
~Student Santa Mailboxes Craftivity: Students can make these mailboxes to hold their notes. I've included an EDITABLE Powerpoint file if you'd like to add your students' names on that way or you can have them write their own names on the pockets. The crafts come in color and black and white.
~Secret Santa Reveal: There's a cute original poem that includes an interactive flap students lift to see who their Secret Santa was.
This will be a super fun activity for your kids and it all revolves around kindness. Perfect for this time of year and always!
